Elementary Catechism on the Constitution

Catechism of the Constitution Book CoverAn Elementary Catechism on the Constitution was written by Arthur J. Stansbury in 1828. In February 2013 I began posting it on Mondays as a weekly series. Because it was published in 1828, some content has been changed by later Constitutional amendments. Because there are no sections in the book, I’ve divided it into any natural breaks of topics and so the posts vary in length. I’ll be adding new titles with their links to this list.

Elementary Catechism on the Constitution (Preface)

I. The Necessity of Government and Its Forms

II. The American Revolution

III. The Occasion and Purpose of the Constitution

IV. State and National Laws

V. The House of Representatives

VI. The Senate

VII. Impeachment
